The mission of completing old post drafts continue. We took this trip as our end-of-exam celebration two years ago and I still remember every bit of delicious food I scraped from that plate.
In grade twelve, our Hospitality class was a double-period class which means we only had to go to school for one of the exam days for our exam. With a day off, my beloved Group D made our way downtown to eat some much loved Italian food.
Fresh bread with butter.
An unexpected Nico has appeared! I ordered this for both humor's sake and it sounded delicious.
Catrina
Spinach linguini with grilled chicken, pancetta, diced onions & black peppercorns
[From http://toronto.grazie.ca/menus/ ]The pasta is simply tossed in extra virgin olive oil and garlic for a light, but intense flavor.
Tasca
Fresh pasta filled with ricotta, spinach, mushrooms & brie baked in a creamy tomato porcini sauce

Nico
Pappardelle with sautéed veal strips, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms in a veal jus with a touch of cream

Worth every penny!
Next up was the much-recommended Caramel Crunch Cake for dessert. Look at that caramel drizzle. The three of us shared a slice, but we could have easily shared the whole cake.
