Lost in Blue | Blue Mountain Adventure Day + VLOG

My much loved adventure-gang took on Blue Mountain and it was fantastic.

There's even a video with it this time; check it out!

The day started with driving through a few different phases of weather. We all decided to not check the weather of our destination, but went with it. After driving through stormy clouds, rain, and sun, we were greeted with mild overcast. We signed up for an "Eco Adventure tour" that lasted about three hours and the adventure was very strong with this one. It didn't hurt that we hunted down some coupons in the tourist map.

Also my good hombre Claudine brought her dad's selfie stick and it is seriously game changing. Gone is the outstretched hand of the tallest person in the group. It's 2015 and it's the year of the selfie stick.

Our first stop was a small hike down to the valley where a tractor awaited us to drive us back up the hill to a suspension bridge. The tour guides talked about how they had to build the bridge from autumn to spring and without disturbing the red oak trees below. Not an easy feat, but the view was well worth it years later.

From there, we headed to the tree-walk where we walked on rope-suspended planks of wood about 50 feet above the ground.

I love the mystical feeling of being completely surrounded by forest. I mentioned it to Claudine, but I noticed how a lot of the trees were beautifully parallel. It was just like a scene from a movie!

We finished the tree walk with our first zip-line ride of about 300 feet to the ground.

The rest of the day is a blur of moss, chicken wings, and the eventual sunset as we cruised down the Blue Mountain on this go-kart like contraption.

Thank you for the lovely day, Blue. Until next time.

Thanks for reading!
